Nommy’s charred Tomatillo Salsa is a tantalizing and tart classic, and it is a staple on our chips and salsa party platters. Best of all, it's safe for gluten free, dairy free, and low-FODMAP diets! Made with beautiful green tomatillos, and some simple additions like serrano peppers, cilantro, and lime, this salsa is extremely versatile and can be used in burrito bowls, nachos, enchiladas, tostadas, you name it! So, give it a try! We are certain you will love it just as much as we do!

Low FODMAP Charred Tomatillo Salsa

Yield: Makes 8 oz

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon avocado oil

3-4 small/medium tomatillos

2 serrano peppers

Handful cilantro

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2-1 teaspoon salt

Juice of 1 lime

Directions

Roast peppers and tomatillos in oil until charred and mushy.

Chop in a food processor with cumin, black pepper, salt and lime juice.

Chop cilantro and add to salsa. 

Refrigerate for 1-2 hours for flavors to meld.
