Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH)

Dermatitis Herpetiformis, abbreviated as DH, is often recognized by extremely itchy and blistered skin that can appear on many parts of the body and is rather uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it affects a tenth of people who have celiac disease and appears as a reaction to gluten exposure.

Currently, the only treatment for Dermatitis Herpetiformis is a strict gluten-free diet. It is also important to also avoid cosmetic products with gluten-containing ingredients.
