1.5 lb. thick cut of sirloin steak (cut into 1 inch cubes)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
4 Tablespoons red wine of your choosing
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons sugar
Salt and pepper
Mix steak cubes, salt, and pepper together. Heat oil in cast iron skillet and sear steak on all sides.
In a separate skillet, bring butter, red wine, Italian seasoning, sugar, and a pinch of salt and pepper to simmer. Reduce into a thick syrup.
Pour syrup over steak and coat steak cubes in sauce.
